Remember the classic Motorola “brick” cell phone? The one with the 5-inch long black antenna?

Remember when having a pocket LCD TV was high-tech…then when having a small, thin cell phone was the “thing?”

As more and more of us give up traditional cell phones and upgrade to smartphones, it now doesn’t seem to matter that the size of the devices is growing. In fact, the ability to have mobile-to-mobile video chats and watch video entertainment at-will makes us wish for an even larger screen.

And what about the complaints that the battery runs down too quickly on these new devices? That certainly doesn’t seem to be slowing down purchases.

Yep – it’s like our new all-in-one gizmo offers so many advantages that we overlook size and battery life.

My kids love their droids. They carry them around in their hands everywhere they go.

Makes me wonder if the day of the pocket-sized device is gone. Will we look back 10 years from now and laugh at the size of the technology we embraced?

Or will the future just have us all walking around with a tablet attached to our belts?

Makes me wonder…
