Apple and Verizon Wireless announced today that the wireless carrier will begin offering the seminal tablet on October 28.
Verizon will sell the WiFi version of the iPad, not the 3G version. Not to fret however as Verizon customers will be able to purchase a MiFi adapter and data plans to allow for internet access.
This appears to be an incremental step in forging a successful relationship between the two companies, with the potential of other Apple products being served up in Verizon Wireless locations. It also points to the new trend of merging product categories and retail channels to gain access to target audiences.
